GCJGF Tournament Programs

Gold Coast Junior Golf Foundation, Inc. now offers two different opportunities for junior golfers. The "Gold" is our educational and developmental tournaments program that has been conducted the past 13 years. Most tournaments are played on Sundays throughout the year. The Okee-Gold Cup is conducted by the Gold program. The Gold tournaments and activities are open to all Boys & Girls 18 & Under, regardless of golf skills.  

The "Platinum Tour" is our tournament series consisting of seven, 36 hole, stroke-play tournaments for advanced players in Boys 13-15, Boys 16-18, and Girls 13-18 age divisions. Most of the tournaments are played on Saturdays and Sundays beginning in March and continuing through Labor Day at venues located in South Florida. A Platinum Tour membership is required to play in Platinum Tour tournaments, except for the Callaway Junior World Championship qualifier, which is an open tournament. Players must consistently shoot 89 or better for Boys and 99 or better for Girls for Platinum Tour membership.

The 2010-2011 season GCJGF membership categories are:
Gold : $50 - eligible for Gold Program events only*
Platinum Tour: $75 - eligible for Platinum Tour Tournaments only*
Gold & Platinum Tour: $125 - eligible for Platinum Tour 36-Hole & GCJGF 18-Hole Tournaments*

*Tournament entry fees are additional

The Participation & Performance point matrix remains the same for 2010-2011. A separate "Player of the Year" contest will be held for the Gold and the Platinum Tour. It is possible that a player could win POY in both programs.
